10 Best Parks in New York City (5 to 1)
5. Prospect Park. Located in Brooklyn, Prospect Park is 585 acres and houses a 90-acre meadow, Prospect Park Zoo, a 60 acre lake, free concerts in the summertime and more.
4. Battery Park. This 25-acre park is located on the most southern tip of Manhattan. WWII and 9/11 Memorials are located at this historical park.
3. Bryant Park. Home of the New York Public Library, slightly less than 10 acres. A great location to catch up with friends or get some work done with their free wi-fi. The final scene of the Howard Stern film Private Parts was filmed in Bryant Park.
2. Central Park. Largest park in NYC filled with plenty of things to do and see from ice-skating rinks, swimming pool, the Central Park Zoo, the Central Park Conservatory Garden, the Delacorte Theater, festivals and more. Many greats have performed here from Bob Marley to Elton John to Diana Ross to Bon Jovi.

1. Washington Square Park. Slightly less than 10 acres, this Greenwich Village park is known for its cultural activity, its 77 foot arch modeled after the French Arc de Triomphe and a fountain area known as a meeting spot and location for street entertainers. Most of the buildings located around the park are owned by NYU. A park full of students, locals and tourists.

love the list; we are lucky to have sooooo many great parks in this city! BTW ft. tryon park is also home to the cloisters, the metropolitan museum of art’s collection of medieval arts & architecture.
I was looking for a park to go to and I’ve never been to Fort Tryon. It sounds great and thanks for the suggestion!
