5. The Dog Run at 105th Street, Riverside Park. Riverside Drive and 105th Street. They have a water fountain, plenty of seating, and a large off-leash area to ensure your dog has plenty of room to stretch it’s legs.
4. Riverside Park at 87th Street. Riverside Drive and 87th Street. The oldest of Riverside Park’s 3 dog runs. They are in the process of renovating the dog park. Help by volunteering to restore this dog run to its former glory. Off-leash section has ample seating and running water.
3. Sirius Dog Run in Kowsky Plaza, Battery Park City. Sirius was the name of the only K-9 to die in the collapse of the World Trade Center Twin Towers. Take your dog here to run on hills, benches, and through water pools.
2. Dog Beach at Prospect Park. Located in Brooklyn by the Long Meadow ball fields in scenic Prospect Park. Okay so technically it is in Brooklyn but where else can your dog go for a swim while you gaze at the beautiful Manhattan landscape? Off-leash hours are 9pm to 1am and 5am to 9am. 1. Tompkins Square Park First Run. Avenue A to Avenue B, and East 7th to East 10th Street. Called First Run because it was the first off-leash dog run in Manhattan. It also was instrumental in cleaning up Tompkins Square Park. Separate small and large dog areas as well as running water.
