8:00 pm – Shakira at Madison Square Garden. 7th Avenue & 32nd Street. Singing and dancing entertainment by Grammy award winner and Colombian sensation Shakira. Unlike most pop artists today, she is actually a singer and songwriter. Tickets from $9.50 to $149.50.
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm – On the Rooftop by Time Out New York and Showtime. CASSA Hotel and Residences, 70 W. 45th Street. Event entry and open bar with $25 ticket purchase. Celebrate modern design inspired by Showtime’s series of shows like Weeds and The Big C.

Come to Desigual in your underwear, the first 100 to show up will be admitted for a free one hour shopping spree to pick out a free two piece outfit. Line starts at 7:00 am. All participants who are not the part of the 1st 100 will receive a 50% discount on all same-day purchases. Free event.
5:00 pm & 6:30 pm – Superman Batman Apocalypse Movie Premier. Paley Center at 25 W 52nd Street. Movie is based on DC Comics series and begins at 6:30 pm. Media interviews begin at 5:00. Limited free tickets on a first come, first serve basis. Panel discussion after the movie with the movie voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, casting director, and other cast members. Limited free tickets.
6:00 pm – Free Fashion Show and Q&A with Project Runway’s Tim Gunn. 6th Avenue between 32nd & 33rd Streets, Street Level. Come see the debut of Liz Claiborne’s fall collection. First 100 guests who spend at least $65 will have a picture-op with Tim Gunn and an autographied book written by Gunn, “Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making It Work“.
