5. Hole. Terminal 5, 610 West 56th Street. April 27th & 28th. Courtney Love is back with Hole, one of the best rock groups with a female vocalist to emerge from LA in the early 1990s, fresh with a new drummer and guitarist. Tickets $35 in advance, $40 day of concert.
4. Lupe Fiasco with B.O.B. The Fillmore at Irving Plaza, 17 Irving Place. April 10th. Lupe Fiasco is an up and coming urban hip hop artist from Chicago with B.O.B., an Atlanta rapper similar to Andre 3000 of Outkast. See: NYC’s Best Celebrities to See in April
3. Gipsy Kings April 27th. Radio City Music Hall, 1260 Avenue of the Americas. The Gipsy Kings are a French born band who play a version of flamenco and pop music, unlike any other band I have ever heard, who have sold 18 million records worldwide. Unlike traditional flamenco music, the Gipsy Kings incorporate synthesized drums and keyboards for their signature sound.

1. Banana Shpeel from Cirque du Soleil starts April 29th. Beacon Theatre. You know you are in for a unique performance with Cirque du Soleil as they travel the world for the best performers in their craft. Banana Shpeel is a Vaudeville influenced slapstick comedy and performance art, including dancing and acrobats. If you are into slapstick-style Jim Carey and Lucile Ball comedy, you should see Banana Shpeel.
