5. Good Morning America Summer Concerts. Central Park. Another NYC TV Show featuring free concerts all summer long. Shows are each Friday at 7:00 am, arrive early to get close to the stage. Concerts are held at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park.

Friday, July 2 – Mary J. Blige
Friday, July 9 – American Idol Top 10
Friday, July 16 – The GO-GO’S
Friday, July 23 – Sheryl Crow
Friday, July 30 – Black Eyed Peas

4. New York Philharmonic: Concert in the Park. All concerts are free and begin 8:00 pm. Indoor concerts held on July 13th & 14th the concert will be held on the Great Lawn in Central Park. July 15th the concert is in Cunningham Park, Queens. July 16th features the New York Philharmonic at Prospect Park, Brooklyn. On the 17th the NY Philharmonic concert is indoors in the Center of Arts, College of Staten Island. The final concert is indoors again at the Main Theater, Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture 19th, 149th Street at 450 Grand Concourse, Bronx.

3. NBC’s Today Show Summer Concerts. See the hottest bands for free at the Today Show’s morning summer concert series at Rockefeller Center. Shows are each Friday starting at 7:00 am. Arrive an hour early for the best views. July has the best acts including Lady Gaga and Carrie Underwood.

2. Special Engagement: Tracy Morgan. Carolines on Broadway. July 22nd to July 25th. Come see former Saturday Night Live cast member speak his mind on stage at the famous comedy club Carolines. This is not NBC television, expect explicit lyrics and no political correctness.

1. Lady Gaga. Madison Square Garden. July 6th, 7th, & 9th. Lady Gaga‘s unique music and outlandish outfits have propelled her to pop superstar. Each concert is filled with costume changes, musical styles, and are high energy. She is actually a pop star who can sing as well as make good dance music. Although her music is loved by those of all ages, her concert is more of an adult fair.
