NYC’s Best Mac & Cheese Restaurants
Mac & cheese is one of go to comfort foods that reminds me of when I was young, innocent child. The gooey cheese and pasta warms your entire body and brings a smile to your face with each bite, making it a perfect dish for the upcoming cool NYC fall weather. New York City restaurants serve some of the best and most diverse versions of mac & cheese in the country. Here are our favorite mac & cheese restaurants in NYC:
S’mac. 345 E 12th Street, near 1st Avenue. The place is typically crowded during lunch hours and even the small portions are filling. With a large list of flavorful mac & cheese dishes served in iron skillets with cheese browned on top, it is easy to see why. Their cheeseburger mac & cheese is excellent, as well as the four cheese. The perfect meal to nosh on before a heavy night of cocktails in the East Village.
eatery nyc. 798 9th Avenue, at 53rd Street, Midtown. Eatery NYC is one of the more popular NYC weekend brunch restaurants. Their version of mac & cheese, called Mac & Jack and covered with fried onions, is a patron favorite.
Vynl’s truffle mac & cheese. 754 9th Ave, at 51st St, Hells Kitchen. Vynl, an Asian fusion restaurant with a music theme, serves up dishes from Thai to Southern American. Many of the dishes are small and overpriced but if you are a fan of truffles than you need to try the truffle mac & cheese at Vynl which is made with black truffles, fontina cheese, and parmesan cheese. The perfect atmosphere for a fun, casual dinner and drinks with friends or date.
Big Daddy’s. 3 locations: Gramercy Park, UEW, and Upper West Side. The family friendly nyc restaurant with a 50s diner theme. Standard casual diner fair with a superior three cheese mac & cheese appetizer.
