5. Woodwork. 583 Vanderbilt Avenue, between Pacific Street & Dean Street, Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Woodwork Brooklyn was built for watching football matches with 3 large 50″ tvs and a giant projector. This is a no BS neighborhood soccer bar with good food, good drink, and good service.
4. Madiba. 195 Dekalb Ave, Brooklyn. A South African restaurant. To kick off this year’s World Cup, I recommend watching the South Africa vs. Mexico June 11th soccer game live at Madiba at 10:00 am. Madiba’s features big screen TVs, a tasty food selection including traditional dishes like oxtail, and a great ambiance for the football match.
3. Félix Restaurant. 340 West Broadway, SoHo, NYC. If you plan to eat while watching the World Cup try the French onion soup. More of a restaurant they have special celebrations each World Cup. A good scene to root for the French football team and especially the Brazilian soccer team in Manhattan. More expensive French food than other NYC sport bars on this list and one of the few places you need make reservations to ensure you have a seat during the game.
2. McCormack’s Pub. 365 3rd Avenue, between 26th & 27th Street, Midtown East. Better food than the average pub, McCormack’s Pub well feed you up until 2:00 am in the morning. Come down and root for your team during the first English match versus the United States, June 12th at 2:30 pm, World Cup 2010 NYC. All games shown live.
1. Nevada Smiths. 74 3rd Avenue, between 11th & 12th Street, East Village. Cheer for the US at one of the original NYC sports bars for soccer in NYC. As they say, at Nevada Smiths, football is their religion. Two levels with a large projection screen and 14 plasma screen tvs. Come to Nevada Smiths to watch football, period. They show 100 games from everywhere around the world each week. See: New York City’s 10 Best Sports Bars for March Madness NCAA Basketball

Looks like Brazil easily handles Chile in World Cup action yet again! Poor Chile!
Except Woodwork doesn’t have beer on tap, and they’re all precious with their stupid woodwork, so I call BS.
