You may be familiar with the truck rolling around town, but the company has moved up and has opened a shop.  A fancy dessert spot with the best warm brioche donut holes in town.  The donut holes are filled with…Nutella!  Chocolate lovers must try these warm, fluffy, moist pieces of heaven that explode in your mouth.

4.  Holey Cream. 796 9th Avenue, Theater District. You will not fall in love at first glance, but the sparks will fly after the first bite.  Come by Holey Cream, grab a warm caramel with heath bar or chocolate with peanut butter cups donut, a couple scoops of ice cream and fantastic illy coffee and your day will begin on the right foot.  Great ingredients and quality food.  Superb.

3.  The Donut Pub. 203 West 14th Street, West Village. Forget Dunkin Donuts and stop by this 24 hour donut shop in West Village.  Recommend the glazed twist, Boston creme and honey dipped donuts.  Also, The Donut Pub has some of the best black and white cookies in NYC.

2.  Peter Pan Bakery. 727 Manhattan Avenue, Brooklyn. Sit down at the counter and enjoy the light, moist, reasonably priced, donuts in Brooklyn.  Peter Pan Bakery is a cozy donut shop with some of the best glazed red velvet donuts, boston cream and apple crumb donuts around.  Best donuts in Brooklyn.

1.  Doughnut Plant. 379 Grand Street, Lower East Side. New York City’s best donuts.  Made from all natural ingredients, these donuts must be eaten the same day to savior every bite and flavor.  Filled with amazing and unique flavors.  Try the raspberry glaze, pistachio, tres leches, creme brulee….oh heck, take one of everything!  Come early, because as the hours pass, the selection decreases.  Watch a clip of the Doughnut Plant, featured on the Food Network:
