NYC’s 10 Best Buffalo Wings & Chicken Wings (5 to 1)
5. Mad For Chicken. 2 Locations in New York Cirty: 314 5th Avenue, Second Floor, between 31st & 32nd Streets, Midtown West. 157-18 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, Queens. A good chicken wing option, especially for the Midtown lunch crowd. They use young chickens that have been raised naturally, with no hormones or antibiotics and are fried in non-hydrogenated oil. The wings are super crispy covered in one of three sauces that are soy based mixed with fruit and spices. I prefer the 50/50 mix of soy garlic and hot & spicy sauce. Choose all wings, drumsticks, or both.
4. Bonnie’s Grill. 278 5th Avenue, Park Slope, Brooklyn. Two guys from Buffalo decided to come to Brooklyn and show New York City how Buffalo chicken wings are done. Choose from 5 varietes of Buffalo sauce from mild to if you dare hot. While the wings are good, their Angus burgers are the bomb. See: 10 Best Cheap Burgers in Manhattan
3. Blondies Original Buffalo Wings. 212 West 79th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam, Upper West Side. This sports bar is perhaps the most well known and hyped hot wings joint in New York City. Another great sports bar in New York City to catch World Cup soccer because they are open for all the games and have a 2 for 1 drinks special while they are playing. They also show other major Professional and College sporting event. Monday nights are all you can eat wings but the for the best tasting wings come when they are not crowded on another day. Blondies wafer fries go well with their buffalo style or garlic wings.
2. Blue Smoke. 116 E 27th Street, Flatiron District. Best BBQ chicken wings in Manhattan. These BBQ chicken wings are prepared with love. Soaked in a salt brine with spices, smoked with applewood, and finally fried. Oh yeah, their pit BBQ ain’t bad either. See: New York City’s 10 Best Southern, Soul Food, and Cajun Restaurants
1. Dinosaur Bar-B-Que NYC. 700 W 125th Street at 12th Avenue, Harlem. They serve some of the best BBQ in the city including their version of chicken wings which are jumbo-sized, pit smoked wings smothered dusted with their special spice rub along with 5 wing sauces to choose from. My favorite is the garlic chipolte. A southern treat, fried green tomatoes are served up here as well. See: New York City’s 10 Best Southern, Soul Food, and Cajun Restaurants
