Friday, September 3

4:00 PM to 8:00 PM – MoMA Target Free Fridays. 11 West 53rd Street, between 5th & 6th Avenue. Visit the Museum of Modern Art for free on Friday nights. Includes all galleries, exhibitions, and films.

Saturday, September 4

8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, September 6th – Beneath the Earth Films Scavenger Hunt. Decipher 7 clues from seven movies shot in New York City. Teams must take take pictures of their reenactment of each movie scene where it was filmed. Winning two person team receives an iPad and $50 iTunes Store gift certificate. 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM – Deno’s Wonder Wheel 90th Birthday Party. Boardwalk at W. 12th Street, Coney Island. Live entertainment from music to Coney Island talent show winners. All who ride the wheel will receive a free commemorative button.

6:00 PM to 10:00 PM – Snout n’ Stout BBQ Pig Roast. 50 N 3rd Street, between Berry & Wythe, Williamsburg. A North Carolina style pig roast and block party with craft beers. Music provided by DJ Cowboy Mark. The event is free but food and drink is not. Pre-order plates for $10 or pay $15 at the event. Sunday, September 5

11:00 AM to 7:00 PM – The 26th Annual Brazilian Day Festival. Little Brazil, 6th Ave. from 42nd – 56th St. & on 46th Street from Madison to 7th Avenue. This festival celebrates Brazilian Independence with live performances on two stages, street vendors, crafts, and other Brazilian offerings. The festival is the largest Brazilian cultural celebration outside of Brazil. Expect a crowd of over 1 million.
