Steakhouses are a staple in NYC. Ever heard of the New York strip?
New York City’s 10 Best Steakhouses (Page 1 of 2):
Strip House. 13 East 12th Street between 5th Avenue and University Place. Sexy interior, the perfect NY steakhouse for a rendezvous. Desserts here reign supreme at Strip House. Try the chocolate cake or the baked Alaska. See: 10 Best Foods in NYC for the Sweet Tooth Lover
Sammy Roumanian Steak House. 157 Chrystie Street between Rivington and Delancey. Quirky, raucous down-market steakhouse on the Lower East Side. Get the Romanian tenderloin, though be prepared to take most of it home with you. See: NYC’s 10 Best Ethnic Cuisine Restaurants
Craftsteak. 85 Tenth Avenue at 15th Street. A Tom Colicchio joint. An extensive menu, and lots of options that you won’t find elsewhere (three types of Waygu beef and five types of mushrooms).
Dylan Prime. 62 Laight Street at Greenwich Street. Excellent service at this Tribeca steakhouse. Romantic atmosphere and ample seafood offerings (in addition to traditional steakhouse fare).
Quality Meats. 57 West 58th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. Sirloin, rack of lamb and baby-back ribs are favorites here. Elegant and modern decor–and thus another good choice for a date.
