10 Things to do in NYC February, 2010

February is full of fun things to do from Super Bowl Sunday to Fashion Week to the Chinese New Year celebrations.  Below are 10 things to do in New York City in February 2010.

10. Off-Broadway Show, Ages of the Moon. This Sam Shepard show opened on January 27th has extended its run through March 21st due to positive reviews.  The show follows two old friends reunited who reminisce and bicker over bourbon on ice.

9. Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday, February 17, is the first day of Lent and in the Catholic religion, all are encouraged to attend Mass on this day.  See our list of Top 10 NYC Churches to Visit (note: not all Churches on our list are Catholic).

8. President’s Day.  Some of us have February 15th off and some of us don’t.  A great day to shop sales, visit a museum or enjoy good food and a walk through the city.

7. Clinton Street Baking Company4 Clinton Street. This LES, Lower East Side, breakfast location has received raves and awards on their pancakes, muffins, and biscuits.  If you are a pancake lover, February is pancake month!

6. Valentine’s Day.  Same as every year, Valentine’s Day is on February 14th and this year falls on a Sunday.  New York City is a romantic city and there is plenty to do, from taking a romantic walk through Central Park or dining in a new restaurant with a beautiful view with your loved one.  The city if full of ideas for lovers.
