Sur Empanadas. 45-57 47th Street, Queens. Order a couple of their organic Argentine empanadas, they throw it in the oven and you’re ready to go. Great take-out spot with low prices.
Gourmet 53. 875 3rd Avenue. Traditional American food at this Midtown East lunch spot. For under $7, you get your choice of sandwich, fries, cookie, homemade garlic pita chips, fruit salad or jello and a drink. There is usually a line, but it moves fast.
Margon. 136 W 46th Street. True Cuban food in the Theater District. Popular place with filling Cuban sandwiches. Definitely worth the wait.
Così. Located all around the city. Taylor Swift was asked if there was one food she could eat for the rest of your life, what would it be? She answered: “When I’m in New York, I always get the TBM sandwich from Così, my favorite restaurant chain. It’s made with tomato, basil, and fresh mozzarella. That would have to be my No. 1 meal!”
