5. Minca. 536 East 5th Street, East Village. Come here when the wait for Ippudo NY is too long.
4. Noodle Bar. Two locations: 26 Carmine Street, West Village; 172 Orchard Street, Lower East Side. Good vegetarian Asian fusion restaurant.
3. Bo Ky Restaurant. 82 Bayard Street, Chinatown. The spot for Vietnamese pho.
2. Lan Zhou Handmade Noodle. 144 E Broadway, Chinatown, Lower East Side. Not a restaurant to go to for the decor. The spicy beef noodle soup is the real deal.
1. Ippudo NY. 65 4th Avenue, East Village. My favorite Japanese ramen in NYC. A couple bucks more than the next noodle shop and a tad longer wait, but well worth it.
