Robert De Niro partnered with renowned Japanese chef Nobu Matshuisa in 1994 and has made NoBu one of the most famous Asian fusion sushi bar and restaurants in NYC.  Nobu is popular among locals, tourists and celebrities, so it gets packed. This worldly restaurant has a warm, exotic, ethnic ambiance that would make any dining experience pleasant.  Spice Market is an upscale restaurant that brings flavorful cuisine from Southern Asian to New York City.  Try their garlic chili noodles, chicken curry, and ginger fried rice, which are superb.  Spice Market also has fantastic original and inventive cocktails.  A favorite among many including Kanye West.

3.  Mooncake Foods. 28 Watts Street, SoHo; 263 West 30th Street, Chelsea. 2.  Franchia Teahouse & Restaurant. 12 Park Avenue, Murray Hill, Midtown. 1.  Buddakan. 75 9th Avenue, Chelsea. When you enter Buddakan, you will feel like you stepped back in time for it’s old Hollywood, cathedral-like decor.  This chic downtown restaurant, bar and lounge has a very elegant and modern feel.  The Asian cuisine menu offers plenty of dim sum and Asian fusion entrees with a wonderful twist to traditional Asian plates.  Favorite item on the menu is the ginger-infused Mao Poe Tofu.
