“ NY Waterway Ferry will be waiving its normal $1.25 bicycle fee on August Saturdays to encourage people to take part in the fifth annual Summer Streets NYC, a walk/run/ride event on the streets of Manhattan.
During Summer Streets, nearly seven miles of Manhattan streets will be closed to automobile traffic and open for everyone to play, run, walk, bike and just breathe exhaust-free air on three consecutive Saturdays, August 4, 11, and 18, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.
