Tubing.  Once it snows, several parks around the city offer sledding.  Central Park (Manhattan), Prospect Park (Brooklyn), Riverside Park (Manhattan), Inwood Hill Park (Manhattan), Fort Greene Park (Brooklyn), Ewen Park (Bronx), Clove Lake Park (Staten Island), and Silver Lake Park (Staten Island) all have popular sledding and tubing hills when the snow falls in NYC.  Many of NYC’s surrounding ski areas and resorts also allow tubing & sledding.
