Wednesday, August 18
7:00 PM – Summerstage Concert with Tye Tribett. Jackie Robinson Park in Central Park (Bradhust & Edgecombe Avenues, West 145 Street to West 155 Street). Gospel singer and piano player.
8:30 PM – River Flicks presents Star Trek. Pier 54. You trekkies can go see Spock, Captian Kurk, and McCoy travel through space.
Thursday, August 19
8:00 AM to 9:00 PM (August 19 & 20) – 1st Day of Barney’s New York Warehouse Sale. 255 West 17th Street, between 7th and 8th Avenue. 50 to 75% off regular prices. Weekday hours 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, weekends are 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Opens 6:00 PM (movie starts 8:00 PM) – River of River Festival: Muppets Take Manhattan. Elevated Acre, 55 Water Street. Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the gang take on Broadway.
Friday, August 20
Free Bike Fridays on Governers Island. Governers Island, Bike & Roll kiosk. Take the free ferry from Manhattan at the Battery Maritime Building, 10 South Street, beside Staton Island Ferry. Provided by Bike and Roll. First hour is free, you pay each additional hour. They will charge you for being one minute late.
11:00 AM – Good Morning America Concert Series featuring Usher. Central Park Mainstage, Rumsey Playfield, East side Central Park (use 72nd Street entrance). Arrive at 6:00 AM to ensure a spot near the stage.
