Monday, August 16
5:00 PM (movie begins at sunset) – HBO Bryant Park Summer Film Festival – 12 Angry Men. Bryant Park. Lawn opens at 5:00 PM, movie starts at sunset. Henry Fonda stars in this 1957 classic as a jury member in a murder trial during the heat of the summer in New York City. 95 minutes.
7:30 PM – Gospel Night BeBe & Cece Winans, with Fred Hammond. Martin Luther King, Jr. Concert Series. Brooklyn Avenue, Wingate Field (entrance at Winthrop St. & Rutland Rd.)
12:00 PM to 2 :00 PM (Aug 16th to 20th) – 29th Annual Downtown Dance Festival. One New York Plaza, just east of Battery Park. Various performances celebrating dance with national and international dancers including India and Japan. Many dance styles featured.
Tuesday, August 17
7:00 PM – Summerstage Concert with Alexandra and Daniel Moncion. Highbridge Park, West 174th Street & Amsterdam Avenue. Dominican musicians known for their bachata and salsa music blend.
