Viewing NYC’s Best Christmas Trees.  Rockefeller Center has the most well known, and proabably the largest, real Christmas Tree in the world.  This massive tree is wrapped with 5 miles of wire and lights and stands between 75 and 90 feet tall.  The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is topped with a  is topped with a Swarovski crystal star.

Holiday Markets.  New York City Holiday Markets open during November and December each year and offer all sorts of treats for shoppers.  From handmade crafts to specialty foods, you will definitely find unique gifts at NYC’s holiday markets.  The best NYC holiday markets are located in Grand Central Terminal, Bryant Park, Union Square, and Columbus Circle.

Holiday Light Shows.  Two notable shows:

  • Grand Central Terminal Holiday Light Show.  87 E 42nd Street, Manhattan.  The six-minute laser light show is presented 125 feet overhead in the main concourse every half hour, between 11:00 AM and 9:00 PM, over the course of six weeks, starting November 30th.
  • Time Warner Center Annual Light Show – Holiday Under the StarsColumbus Circle, 59th Street & Broadway.  Giant 14-foot stars illumnate, flash, and change color to song in the 150-foot ceiling foyer of the Timer Warner Center at Columbus Circle.  Shows begin 5 pm daily and contains over 8,000 led lights, 11,000 fiber optic lights, and 156 strobe lights creating over a million color combinations.
