10:00 AM to 6:00 PM – Big Apple Performing Arts Festival. Broadway between 45th and 57th Street. 500+ vendor street fair featuring various performing arts.
12:00 PM – J&R Musicfest & Tech Expo. Across from City Hall Park at 23 Park Row, Downtown. Free concert series and expo. Thursday includes the tech expo with live performances Friday and Saturday. Manufacturers show off their latest tech gadgets.
3:00 PM to 7:00 PM – Charlie Parker Jazz Festival. Tompkins Square Park, east of Avenue A, between 7th & 10th Street. Top jazz musicians today in merge to honor jazz great Charlie Parker. This jazz concert location was chosen to reflect where Charlie Parker lived and worked.
5:00 PM to 10:00 PM – 2nd Mini-Ball on Pier 46: A Night in New York presented by FIERCE. Hudson River Park’s Pier 46. LGBTQ community event. Costume prizes awarded for Best Dressed, Best Face, Best Runway Look, and more. Visit the events calendar on www.fiercenyc.org for more information.
8:00 PM – Summer HD Festival presents the Magic Flute. Jose Robertson Plaza at the Lincoln Center, Upper West Side. Mozart’s fairy tale including dialogue and singing. 2,800 free seats available, no tickets required.
