5.  NYC Half-Marathon.  March 21, 2010.  Just like the New York City Marathon, entry into the NYC Half-Marathon requires you to qualify for guaranteed entry or a winner in their lottery.  Only qualified runners will be accepted.  Visit www.nyrr.org for more details.

4.  CitySolve Urban Race. New York City. June 19th.  For the CitySolve Urban Race you need to be in shape, both physically and mentally.  Race around the city and use your brain to solve challenges with your team of 2 to 6 people.  Learn more at www.citysolveurbanrace.com

3.  Down & Dirty New York 10KPelham Bay Park, Bronx.  November 3.  Do not wear your new running gear in this off-road style 1ok mud race including pits and obstacles.  Make it to the end for the biggest mud pit of all.

2.  Climb to the Top30 Rockefeller Center, Midtown.  Sunday, February 28th.  Once registered you will be assigned a starting time between 6:30 and 9:00am. Raise at least $50 for multiple sclerosis and pay the registration fee to get the chance to climb 66 floors of the GE building to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck.

1.  The ING New York City Marathon.  November 7, 2010.  This is one of the world’s most famous races and the top running event held by the New York Road Runners Club.  Start training for this most grueling running event in the Big Apple early.  Registering and being accepted is not the easiest, they receive 100,000 applications annually.  Entry rules consist of a lottery and some guaranteed entry applications based on specific criteria.  Visit www.ingnycmarathon.org for more information and entry rules.
