10. Muse. Madison Square Garden 4 Penn Plaza, Chelsea. Muse, a Brit power rock band, will be appearing in Madison Square Garden on Friday, March 5th. Muse will be performing songs from their 5th album The Resistance along with many other favorites. Known for their energetic and extravagant live performances, Muse‘s style is a fusion of rock, classical and electronic music. Tickets start at $42.50.
9. Gil-Scott Heron & Friends. Blue Note, 131 W 3rd Street, Greenwich Village. An American poet, musician, and author known primarily for his 1960s and 70s work as a soul performer and his work with musician Brian Jackson has released his first album in 16 years, I’m New Here. A fusion of jazz, blues and soul music, Gil-Scott should not be missed. Performing his deep, soul music on March 2nd & 3rd for a mere $20 (bar) or $35 (table) tickets.
8. Alice in Chains. Terminal 5, 610 W 56th Street, Hell’s Kitchen. This legendary rock band will be performing in NYC on March 8 & 9th at Terminal 5. Fans who have seen them decades ago will not be disappointed. A must see for any rock fan. Tickets are $45.
7. Jay Z. Madison Square Garden 4 Penn Plaza, Chelsea. Jay-Z: The BP3 Tour will occur in Madison Square Garden on March 2nd. 6. Tribute To the Doors: the Soft Parade – 20th Anniversary Show. B.B. King Blues Club and Grill, 237 West 42nd Street, Fashion District, Theater District. Known as the premiere Doors tribute show. Touring the world over the past two decades, catch the Soft Parade on March 5th, 11:30pm. Tickets are only $12.50 advance and $15 day of show.
