5.  Tino Sehgal’s Kiss Exhibit. Guggenheim Museum; 1071 Fifth Avenue. A solo show of the young British-German artist Tino Sehgal choreographs a living sculpture striking erotic poses.  A pair of professional dances appear in three-hour shifts and then are replaced with another pair.  The show is performed every day in Guggenheim’s rotunda during normal museum hours.  This exhibit closes March 10th.  Museum fee is $18.

4.  New York International Children’s Film Festival. Various locations. Fun film events for children and adults from February 26 until March 21.  Watch a screening of the French animated film, Le Roi et l’oiseau with dialog performed live by Brooke Shields, Jeffrey Wright, Lauren Ambrose and more,  followed by a meal, auction, and children activities on March 7th.  The film festival is filled with fun children feature films and activities throughout the month.  Prices start $9.

3.  International ArtExpo. Pier 94 on the Hudson River, 711 12th Ave. The world’s largest fine arts trade show is occurring March 25-28. Anticipating over 400 artists, galleries and publishers. Get access to thousands of wholesale works for a mere $15 admission.

2.  Martini Week. The first ever Martini Week will be held from March 1-14.  The two-week event features custom cocktail deals at about 25 of the city’s best martini bars. Venues are offering new and old martini recipes for $10.  Occurs nightly from 5:30-8:30 pm.  For more details on participating venues go to Tasting Table’s website.

1.  The St. Patrick’s Day Parade. On Wednesday, March 17th, 150,000 marchers go up 5th Avenue from 44th to 86th Streets.  The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the most popular parades in NYC marching the streets of New York City since 1762.   The parade begins at 11 am at 44th Street and finishes around 4:30-5:00 pm at 86th Street.  A huge traditional event not to be missed.
