“After the Star Wars series we never heard from her again.”
That comment is a joke right? Is the author of this list that clueless? Carrie Fisher may not have had any roles as iconic as Princess Leia since Star Wars but she has been working steadily through the years in film and television. Just check imdb.com for her resume. She is also the author of several wonderful novels in addition to her recent autobiography on which her show is based. And she has done all this while dealing with her bi-polar disorder and drug issues. Carrie Fisher did not drop off the face of the Earth or fade away in rehab after Star Wars.
First, I would like to point out that NYC10best.com recommended to readers to go see Carrie Fisher’s show.
No one will argue that Carrie Fisher and other major actors of the original Star Wars cast faded away into obscurity shortly after the first three films were produced. I am not claiming she stopped working but she went from an A list American sex symbol actress to taking side roles in movies like Drop Dead Fred. I don’t recall seeing Harrison Ford in Drop Dead Fred.
This is what makes her new show, Wishful Drinking, so interesting to the public. In this show we find out what happened to her.
