6. Tehilim. Museum of Jewish Heritage; 36 Battery Place. On December 16th at 6:30 pm, join Director Raphael Nadjari on his film screening and discussion of Tehilim.  Tehilim follows a Jewish family in contemporary Jerusalem that is thrown into spiritual and financial turmoil after the mysterious disappearance of their father.  Free for museum members and $5 for non-members. 7. Chanukah Party 2009. Taj Lounge, 48 West 21st Street (between 5th & 6th Ave). Enjoy this fun, young event on Sunday, December 13th starting at 7 pm.  Tickets are $25 beforehand, and $40 at the door.

8. Dr. Ruth. Museum of Jewish Heritage; 36 Battery Place. On December 9th at 7 pm, join the most famous Jewish Psychologist, sex therapist and author in a discussion about dating, relationships and plain ole’ sex.  Feel free to ask anything!  If you’re too shy to ask at the discussion, you can email communications@mjhnyc.org.  Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, and $10 for members. 9. Family Chanukah Pajama Party. Congregation Shaare Zedek at 212 West 93rd Street. On December 12th at 5 pm join for the  community candle lighting and havdalah promptly at 5:15. Make sure you bring a chanukiah and candles to light!  Enjoy the evening of crafts, drama, games, and fun. 10. Culture in the Cucina: The Search for Italy. Park East Synagogue, 164 East 68th Street. On December 13th at 2 pm, learn Italian-Jewish recipes! Writer-editor Leah Koenig presents “Culture in the Cucina: The Search for Italy’s Knish.”  Learn how to cook the traditional Jewish recipes with an Italian twist. If you love to cook, this is a steal!  Admission is only $5!
