1. 6th Annual Noshing Tour Extravaganza. The Stanton Street Shul, 180 Stanton Street. Meet at Friday, December 25th and visit 2 historical sites: the Angel Orensanz Cultural Foundation and the Congregation B’nai Jacob Anshei Brzezan (one of the few remaining tenement-style synagogues). After a short tour, enjoy an authentic Eastern European kiddish full of herring, arbis, potatonik, schnapps, halvah, pastries, and more! Adult tickets are $24. 2. Chalah-lujah: The Tradition Continues. Museum of Jewish Heritage; 36 Battery Place. Enjoy Joshua Nelson and the Kosher Gospel Choir on Friday, December 25th. The 11 am show is a one hour sing-along for children (tickets are $10-20) and the second show at 1 pm is a fusion of Hebrew tunes and gospel style music for the general audience. 3. Klez for Kids. Lower East Side on 12 Eldridge Street. On December 25th beginning at 11 am, enjoy a family concert and celebration at the Eldridge Street Synagogue. For all ages, enjoy a musical tour of Eastern European Jewish culture starring Clarinetist Greg Wall and his band Klezmerfest. Enjoy klezmer music, singing, dancing, and Yiddish lessons. 4. 21st Annual Matzo Ball Party at Capitale. 130 Bowery, corner of Grand Street. A Jewish singles event thrown by the Society of Young Jewish Professionals on Christmas Eve. A party not to be missed! Tickets are only $25.
5. In Memory of with Yale Stone. Eldridge Street Synagogue on the Lower East Side on 12 Eldridge Street. In Memory of is a performance based upon the music Stone has uncovered over the years, and his show is dedicated to the Jews who perished during the Holocaust.
