5.   Holiday Easter Eggs and Easter Egg Collage at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. 212 West 83rd Street.  This event will teach your children the meanings of Easter symbols.  Children also get a chance to decorate a papier-mâché egg or an egg collage for Easter.  General museum admission of $10 is due for this all day event on Sunday, April 4, 10 am to 5 pm.  See: NYC’s Best Museums

4.  Brooklyn Heights Easter Egg Hunt. On the Brooklyn Heights Promenade – Pierrepont Playground, Columbia Heights and Pierrepont Streets.  This free event in Brooklyn has been an annual tradition for the neighborhood, with their fun Easter egg hunt, treats, candy, balloons and a bake sale to benefit the playground.  Begins Saturday, April 3rd at 10 am.

3.  Easter Weekend Greenwich Village History and Dessert Tour.  Join this walking tour around Greenwich Village.  Learn the history of Washington Square Arch, St. Luke in the Fields Church,  Bob Dylan, Minetta Lane, Patchin Place while stopping by dessert shops along the way.  This fun, unique Easter events occurs on Saturday, April 3rd and Sunday, April 4th at 2 pm for $22 per person, which includes the sweets.  Call 212-465-3331 for more information and to make reservations.  See: NYC’s 10 Best Sweets & Desserts

2.  Annual Easter Festival at St. Nicholas Park. 135th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue. This annual NYC Easter festival features a visit from the Easter bunny, face-painting, Easter egg decorating, an Easter egg hunt, arts and crafts, and more.  This is a free event on Saturday, April 3rd, 11 am – 2 pm.  See: NYC Parks & Recreation

1.  Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival. Fifth Avenue from 49th Street to 57th Street. This is the main adult Easter event in New York City, full of colorful spring costumes and bonnets.  There are no floats at this festival, it is simply a walking parade of festive, extravagant, pastel, flowery costumes along fifth avenue.  A fun, unique and free event on Sunday, April 4th at 10 am.  Fun for all ages.
