8. The Orchid Show: Cuba in Flower. New York Botanical Garden, Bronx. Come see 1000s of Cuba’s most beautiful flowers in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Free for members, else $20 per ticket.
7. Bridge and Arch Tour. Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 11:00 am. A guided tour where you learn about the architect and landscape designer, Frederick L. Olmstead’s and Calvert Vaux’s vision of Prospect Park. This is an outdoor event, wear weather appropriate winter attire and comfortable walking shoes. See: New York City’s Best Parks
6. International Women’s Exhibit. Tony Dapolito Recreation Center, 3 Clarkson Street, West Village. March 5, 2010 from 9am to 5pm. A fun cultural event where women from around the world display their cultural clothing from various countries. Learn about the women’s role in their culture including traditions and beliefs.
