10:00 AM to 6:00 PM – 52nd Street Fall Festival Street Fair52nd Street between Lexington and Seventh Avenues.  100s of vendors with products, crafts, art, and street foods.

Electric Zoo Music FestivalRandall’s Island Park, located along the East River between Manhattan and Queens.  Two day rave on Saturday, September 4th and Sunday, the 5th. With the Chemical Brothers, Major Lazer, Kaskade, Moby, Above & Beyond, and more.  Over 70 performances on multiple stages.  Tickets start at $106.

Sunday, September 5

The 26th Annual Brazilian Day Festival. Little Brazil, 6th Ave. from 42nd – 56th St. & on 46th Street from Madison to 7th Avenue.  Celebrate Brazilian Independence with live performances on two stages, street vendors, crafts, food, and other Brazilian offerings.  This festival is the largest Brazilian cultural celebration outside of Brazil.  Expect a crowd of 1 million.

Monday, September 6

9:30 AM to 5:30 PM – Met Holiday Mondays at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 1000 Fifth Avenue from 80th to 84th Streets, Upper East Side.  One of the world’s largest art museums with over 2 million pieces in their collection from ancient times until present day.  Recommended $20 donation for entrance.

11:00 AM to 6:00 PM – M.E.C.A. Family FestivalOn Lexington Avenue from 34th to 42nd Street.  Street fair with over 400 arts and crafts booths, a music show, a fashion show, cooking demonstrations and more.

11:00 AM – West Indian American Day Carnival & Parade. Utica Avenue to Grand Army Plaza along Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn.  New York City’s largest cultural festival and parade with 2 million in attendance.  Enjoy live entertainment and food from Caribbean-America.
