10. DMX. One of the first rappers to use multiple voices and the only one I know who barks. High energy rapper that will have you bobbing your head. I recommend It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot.
9. Busta Rhymes. He can rap in many different styles. He is the one rapper I know who annuciates every word no matter how fast or slow he raps. Woo ha! The Coming and The Big Bang will keep you all in check!
8. Beastie Boys. This group was instrumental in making rap mainstream. Listen to License to Ill to find out why.
7. A Tribe Called Quest. Listen to The Low End Theory to hear the jazz influenced flows and non gangsta rap this group is notorious for.
6. Big Pun. Can anyone even name another great hispanic rapper? Two words, Capital Punishment.
